They tell people how to stand and who takes photos with who. They can also be asked to simply capture candid moments throughout the ceremony and reception. The skills necessary to be a wedding photographer are basically being able to have a creative eye for group photos, make sure everyone looks their best, to capture every detail for the family to remember and have good customer-service. The average salary for a wedding photographer is anywhere from $25,000 a year to $70,000 a year. Geographical locations for wedding photographers is wherever the wedding is that they are hired for. You don't need a degree to become a wedding photographer, but a degree in photographer or digital imaging couldn't hurt. The best thing to do is get experience as an intern to get a bigger portfolio and get connections to build a client base.
